Jul 24, 2017 I have been encountering a weird issue with our Lenovo e530 laptops. Some of my users bring them to me and say that their wireless is turned off on its own. Now the users cannot turn it on or off via the function keys as I have not installed the drivers for them to do so. The first time I saw this problem it took me a while to find the solution.

Wifi Keeps Turning Off My Dell Laptop
It's weird but wifi turning off when pluging/unpluging mouse has been fixed. I just turned flight mode (it was off) on and off again and now its all good, atleast the mouse part.
Now i will find out if it helped overall with random wifi turning off's.I just upgraded yesterday to Windows 10 from Windows 8, and now have the original issue you describe: turns off randomly, have to reboot to get going again, and in my case, turning flight mode off and on again has had no effect.Considering going back to Windows 8 - this is aggravating. So yesterday my wi-fi started to turn off randomly for no reason, its not my internet connection becouse it works on other devices.

Also i already tried ticking off power saving option on my network adapter, it helped for a while i thought, but after i restarted my laptop even though its still ticked off, its still turning off randomly. (Also i noticed it turns off when i plug or unplug my mouse?)Please help its so annoying.Other problems i have:1. Cant set opera as my default browser it asks me if i want to set it as default every time i open it and i always click yes.2. Cant turn my touchpad off even though when i use fn+f9 it says its tunred off.
From reading other forums on this subject, it is pretty widespread, my own problems with this didn't start until I got the November update. Numerous theories abound as to what's causing it but as yet I haven't found one solution that works permanently.MS seem to think its something to do with having a VPN installed when the free upgrade to WIn10 was installed, but that was not my case. Mine was a clean install on an empty SSD.I am leaning towards something interfering with the WLAN Autoconfig service. Restarting it (as well as fiddling with other network bits) is the only way i can regain an internet connection. The network troubleshooter tells me the service was not running, but when i look in MSC, it shows as running on Automatic. In addition, sometimes it drops just the internet connection beyond the router, other times it drops the whole thing ie even connection to router. Very frustrating problem.
Anyone got any ideas on this one?Further to the above, I don't run dhcp, every device on my home network has a dedicated ip address. Sometimes when I get the dropout, I find there have been spurious DNS entries added to the properties of the Broadcom WLAN adaptor properties. Weird!I've also reverted to the WLAN adaptor driver that came with Bootcamp back in July, but to no avail.
